The ongoing project includes renovation and rehabilitation of the former King Jewelers building at 221 SE 6TH ST. The historic building will be transformed into a new home for Partake - a local fine dining establishment. The renovation backed by the state grant will feature wine and cheese shop at the ground level, a high end restaurant and lounge space at the second level that has been unused since the 1960s as well as a first floor mezzanine that will be remodelled as the restaurant kitchen. Furthermore, the historic exterior brick façade will be restored to its original storefront, including the front stairway access from the Sixth Street sidewalk to the second floor and maintaining current windows with any necessary repairs. The project brings new life to a century-old landmark in downtown Grants Pass that will reflect the city’s character and evolving culture.
