Ethos
Our approach to architecture is built upon the principal that design does not equate to undue expense and we strive to create regional context through efficient solutions in the built environment.
We believe in the importance of creating socially responsive and equitable spaces that are inclusive and accessible to all, and are committed to working towards the alignment of these values in our projects. Timeless and robust designs using vernacular techniques, solid craftsmanship, efficient construction methods and user participation are integral part of our design process. These are reflected in our work through form, materiality, historic context and connection to its surrounding landscape.
Thoughtful and intentional design with functionality that works now and into the future.

Collaborative Design
Quality is best achieved when all members are thoroughly invested in the project and see their own part of the design as a piece of the whole picture.
Our process encourages collaborative design and dialogue as we bring together the team, community, users and stakeholders to critically shape our project's success. We follow an iterative methodology of exploration, testing, analysis, and refinement.
With our process, we strive to create an environment for collective learning, reflective practice and feedback loop to bring best ideas to the table.
Through exploration, we refine each approach towards an informed solution.

Regional Context & Materiality
As a design firm we are rooted in the vernacular, however we are also constantly exploring innovative materials and methods of construction that can be used in our projects.
As new construction methodologies emerge, we aim to stay rooted in a holistic approach to create sustainable designs that are socially, culturally and economically durable.

Sustainability
Sustainability is a common goal in our studio and we aim to develop a cost conscious model through sustainable design principles. Even if certifications are not always pursued, the sustainability standards are part of our process to achieve the goal the client shares for the project. Our designs prioritizes elements like natural light, ventilation, integration of indoor and outdoor, use of local materials and energy efficiency.
Depending on the needs and opportunities in the project we include various methods like energy conservation through insulation, solar panels, water efficiency measures, high-efficiency mechanical heating/ cooling systems, energy-efficient appliances, renewable energy sources, net-zero strategies and using locally sourced materials. We test the design against costs at every step to allow for innovative measures to be incorporated in terms of material, layout and systems thus paving way for affordability in the long term.
